Investigating Water Lab
Evaporating Cooling Station 1
In Station 1 We Tested To See Which Felt Cooler On Our Hands Alcohol Or Water. To Me The Alcohol Was Colder. The Alcohol Stayed Colder Longer Than The Water , But The Alcohol Evaporated Faster .

Water Tension /Cohesion - Station #2 Water on a Penny
In This Station We Counted How Many Dots Can Fit On A Penny Until It Spills. My Partner & I Predicted That 35 Drops Can Fit On The Penny. Actually 37 Drops Fit On the Penny!

Surface Tension : Station #3 Water on Wax Paper
The Directions Were To Put Water & Alcohol On Wax Paper.
A Drop Of Water On The Wax & The Drops Moved, But W/The Alcohol They Moved & Didn't Have A Defined Shape.

Surface Tension Station #4 - Paper Clips on the Surface of a Cup of Water
We Thought That 5 Paper Clips Would Float, No Paper Clips Floated

Adhesion : Station #5 - Graduated Cylinder
we tested the adhesion on a graduated cylinder. When we put water in it the line was not straight. It was not straight because the adhesion attraction between the water and glass attracted each other so it stuck. The water property of adhesion is important to our living system because if we think of our body The cells of the liver, for example, have to stick together as the liver is developing, but not stick as tightly to the surrounding cells, so that the liver can become a distinct organ in our body.
